MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN LEVERTON CHURCH HALL ON
MONDAY 15 SEPTEMBER 2025

There were no members of the public in attendance.
25/58 Apologies
Apologies were received from Cllr D Broughton and apologies were received during the meeting from Cllr P Bedford.
25/59 To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011
There were no declarations of interest given.
25/610 To receive and approve the notes of the Council meetings held on Monday 21 July 2025
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 21 July 2025 be approved as a record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman.
25/61 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council/Boston Borough Council
Cllr A Arundell gave a verbal report updating members of the Council on matters relating to Lincolnshire County Council including the request from Government for their plan for devolution and how that will look moving forward, the County Council’s plans to introduce staff back into the office and the plan to encourage tenders from local tradespersons/businesses in the procurement process along with confirmation that a new machine had been trialled which addressed potholes more efficiently and that a further 3 machines were in the pipeline.
25/62 Issues relating to the Playing Fields, Potholes and the Environment of the Parish
Playing Fields
Cllr Horwat referred members to the recent playground inspection report which had been circulated and confirmed the only matter which could need attention would be the nets on the basketball hoops. The clerk directed members to the resolution which was passed in the previous meeting to remove them and not replace them, members agreed to leave the hoops without nets.
Potholes
The Chairman stated that this item had been discussed with Cllr Arundell during his report to members regarding the new machine trials.
Environment
Cllr White confirmed that he had spoken with the contractor regarding moving the marble seat at Leverton Pumping station and reported that works were due to begin on the pumping station roof and the bench would be relocated during this time.
The clerk reported that she had received an email regarding a new 4 village magazine which would be available in various locations throughout Freiston, Butterwick, Benington and Leverton as well as being accessed online. Members discussed and RESOLVED to donate £150.00 annually in support of the magazine with their usual annual grants in March 2026.
25/63 To discuss additional speed warning signage along A52
Cllr White stated that he had recently attended a Fishtoft Parish Council meeting where he had been made aware that they had purchased several solar powered interactive speeding signs which had been installed in various locations throughout the parish. Members discussed several options and suggested the clerk contact Fishtoft clerk to ask for the details of who supplied them with a view to purchasing a machine for each side of the village.
25/64 To discuss the adoption of a .gov.uk or .org domain in preparation for the 2025/26 AGAR
The clerk confirmed that there would be a new item added to the Assertations contained within the AGAR for the 2025/26 financial year, this item includes a mandatory adoption of a .gov.uk or .org web domain and also includes mandatory .gov.uk or .org email addresses for all councillors and the clerk. Cllr Osborne confirmed that she had looked at the list of domain approved providers and noted there was one in Lincolnshire. The clerk confirmed that she would hopefully be attending a zoom session hosted by LALC to gain further insight into the process of putting this in place.

Highways Update on 40mph speed limit
|
Contacted Leila Hardy who confirmed Paul Skinner had supported the request made in March for the 40mph speed limit and the Traffic team had accepted the request for assessment. She stated that the outcome will be sent to Cllr Arundell directly.
Nothing received from Cllr Arundell at the present time.

25/68 Date of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Monday 20 October 2025. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
