25/74 To discuss additional speed warning signage along A52
The clerk provided details of 2 types of interactive signs along with quotations for 2 units to members of the council via email prior to the meeting.
Cllr Osborne conveyed her concerns regarding the terms and conditions of one quotation in that the company relinquished responsibility for any damage once the items were with the carrier and that there was a large difference between the cost of both types of units. The clerk highlighted the difference in warranties in that one company offered 2 years on units and 6 months on batteries whereas the competitor offered 6 years on units however battery warranty details were not given. Cllr Durrant was in agreement to the matters highlighted and confirmed that the lesser warranties and the details of the terms and conditions were a concern. Funding for both units was discussed at length and the clerk was asked if she could negotiate a reduction on the higher costing units, enquire on the battery guarantee length and request purchase options for 2 units.
25/75 To resolve to adopt a .gov.uk or .org domain in preparation for the 2025/26 AGAR
The clerk confirmed she had attended the zoom session regarding the new email domain and had received the details of a hosting company from LALC. The company were offering to host the domain @leverton-pc.gov.uk and provide 25 email accounts for the Council for free during the first year and for £99.00 moving forward from year 2 onwards. Members of the Council RESOLVED for the clerk to go ahead and put this in place.
