25/84 Issues relating to the Playing Fields, Potholes and the Environment of the Parish
Playing Fields
There were no major issues to report however, Cllr Horwat reported that there was a minor problem with dog fouling.
Potholes
The Chairman stated that a few repairs had been completed but had no further comments at this time.
Environment
The clerk confirmed that the hedge trimming had been completed and this had been added to the annual lay-by maintenance programme along with flailing of the dykes.
It was reported that the sign for the lay-by was still showing the WC icon for toilet facilities, the clerk asked Cllr Broughton if Boston BC could arrange for a replacement sign without the icon.
Cllr White confirmed that the marble bench at Leverton Pumping Station was scheduled to be moved this week.
25/85 Provision of additional interactive speed signs
The clerk confirmed that she had contacted Lincolnshire County Council to obtain consent to site the chosen displays on existing lamp posts and would hopefully be contacting the engineer the next day. Cllr Woodward suggested one could be placed on the existing flashing ‘30’ which was located next to the plough sign but the clerk was unsure if that sign was power fed or battery operated. Cllr Woodward suggested the ‘30’ sign would be better placed before the sharp bends when entering the village from the south side of the village. Cllr White asked if the speed camera indicator sign near the Travellers Rest café could be checked to see why it didn’t work. Members of the council agreed to discuss the site for the 2nd unit once consent had been received from Lincolnshire CC.
