MINUTES of the Meeting held at The Church Hall, Main Road, Leverton on Monday, 26th June 2017.

1.0 OPEN FORUM
There were no members of the public present for the open forum
2.0 POLICE MATTERS
There were no police present
3.0 VACANCY OF PARISH COUNCILLOR
It was agreed that a notification be sent to the applicants inviting them to attend an informal chat prior to the next meeting.
4.0 APOLOGIES:

4.0 DECLARATION OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
5.0 MINUTES
The minutes of the Meeting held on 22th May 2017 were agreed as presented and signed by the Chairman as a true record of the meeting.
6.0 Matters arising:
6.1 Application for Defibrillator
Martin Bell, Watch Manager, from Leverton Fire Station had been in contact to inform the clerk that the on-call firefighters were competing in the Boston Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 13th August 2017 to raise funds from local sponsorship to buy a defibrillator and cabinet which they wished to donate to Leverton Village. He also stated that it could be possible for training in the use of the defibrillator could be provided. The parish council stated this was a generous offer and accepted unanimously.
6.2 Play Park
It was agreed that a delivery of bark chippings for the play area was to be arranged for Thursday 29th June 2017.
6.3 Poor Condition of Parish Roads
Mr N White confirmed that the Highways Department vehicles had been in the area filling in various potholes
6.4 Footway Lighting.
It was agreed that the decision to relight the 13 nominated footway lights at the public meeting held on 5th June 2017 would be upheld and the clerk was to contact Nigel Hall at Boston Borough council to make arrangements for this to be actioned.
6.5 Leverton Toilet facilities.
The parish council had not received any further updates.
6.7 Parish Councillor Vacancy.

7.0 PAYMENTS
D Horwat (Petrol for mower and grass cutting expenses) £ 46.00
8.0 CORRESPONDENCE:
A letter from Community Services informing of a change to the mobile library timetable. Details can be found at: http://bit.ly/2r8NktC. Affected customers had been contacted via post.
10.0 ITEMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PARISH
Mrs Moore stated that Anne Blythe would soon be cutting the dyke at the rear of Meadowbank and would it be possible for her to cut the dyke on the layby. It was said that the drain was the responsibility of Witham Fourth Internal Drainage Board and possibly the ditch also. the clerk was asked to make enquiries to determine who was responsible.
11.0 DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The date of the next meeting was agreed as Monday 24th July 2017 at The Church Hall, Main Road, Leverton commencing at 7.00pm. Informal chat with Parish Councillor applicants to begin at 6.30pm.
