LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES of the Meeting held at The Church Hall, Main Road, Leverton on Monday, 20th November 2017.

Present:- Councillors: Mrs J Moore, Mrs J Self, Mr D Horwat, Cllr P Bedford, Boston Borough Council, Cllr P Skinner, Lincolnshire County Council.
Apologies: Mr N White
1.0 OPEN FORUM
There were no members of the public present and no items for the open forum.
2.0 POLICE MATTERS
The Clerk received the following details of incidents in the parish:
1 incident of anti-social behaviour – Main A52
1 concern for safety – Lentons Lane
1 theft – Main A52
1 incident of criminal damage – Main A52
1 traffic offence – Main A52
1 road traffic collision – Main A52
3.0 APOLOGIES:
Apologies received from Mr N White.
4.0 DECLARATION OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
5.0 MINUTES
The minutes of the Meeting held on 23rd October 2017 were agreed as presented and signed by the Chairman as a true record of the meeting with the exception of those who were present.
Mrs J Self had given her apologies and did not attend the meeting.
6.0 Matters arising:
6.1 Application for Defibrillator
Mrs Moore reported that Mrs Judy Welborn had received a generous offer from a local business to purchase the second defibrillator for the village and an application had been made to site the defibrillator at the Leverton Leisure Centre.
6.2 Play Park
Mr Horwat stated that as far as he was aware there were no issues.
6.3 Poor Condition of Parish Roads
The Chairman confirmed that he had been accompanied by Mr Chris Chandler from the Highways Department at Lincolnshire County Council on a very productive tour of the parish where the condition of the parish roads was discussed.
6.4 Leverton Toilet facilities.
The Chairman stated that he had a discussion with the prospective tenant, Mr Ian Cunningham and at this point there were no further developments.
7.0 Groundworks Provider.
Despite the Council’s view that the chippings supplied were unsatisfactory both in quality and quantity, it was felt that in the circumstances and lack of documentation the bill should, with some reluctance, be paid. Hopefully another supplier which has been found by the Chairman will be able to deliver satisfactorily in the New Year. The Chairman also requested that the provision of groundworks be put out to tender for the 2018/19 year.

8.0 CORRESPONDENCE:
None received
9.0 ITEMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PARISH
Mrs Moore requested that the lamp numbered 5 on the plan for Lacey’s Avenue be turned back on. The council agreed unanimously and the Clerk to contact Boston Borough Council to arrange for this action to be taken.
Mrs Moore also confirmed that John Saul Ltd will be holding their ‘Carols Around the Tree’ at The Hall, Outgate, Leverton on Wednesday 13th December starting approx. 6.30pm.
10.0 DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The date of the next meeting was agreed as Monday 18th December 2017 at The Church Hall, Main Road, Leverton commencing at 7.00pm.
