LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN LEVERTON VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 19 DECEMBER 2022
Present:

Public Forum
There was one member of the public in attendance to highlight issues with speeding around the bends at the south end of the village whereby an accident had recently caused substantial damage to his hedge and fence and his neighbours’ property. The Chairman confirmed that the Parish Council were aware of this issue however covert cameras had been installed by Lincolnshire County Council’s Highways department on two occasions previously and the findings did not confirm that speeding was an issue. The members of the council stated that that they had exhausted all avenues open to them and advised the member of the public to contact the Community Speed Watch scheme for further advice.

There were no declarations received.
22/99 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 21 November 2022 be approved as a correct record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman.
22/100 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council/Boston Borough Council
Cllr P Skinner gave a verbal report. Cllr P Bedford confirmed that there were no new reports from the Borough Council.
22/101 Issues relating to the Playing Fields, Potholes and the Environment of the Parish
Playing Fields
Cllr Horwat reported that he had purchased the wood to replace the beams up to the zip wire and the clerk confirmed that Kompan had scheduled the works to replace the climbing frame platforms for 06/03/2023.
Potholes
It was reported that Highgate was much improved with the recent works to repair some of the potholes.
Environment
There was nothing further to report at the present time.
22/102 Refurbishment of the Church Hall
There was nothing further to report at the present time.
22/103 Village Gateway Signs
The clerk confirmed that the gateways had now been ordered and signed permissions had been received back from Lincolnshire County Council.
22/104 Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 11/2022, details below:

22/105 Meeting dates
It was RESOLVED to keep the meeting dates as the third Monday of the month commencing at 7pm
22/106 Parish Magazine
Cllr Peter Bedford spoke to members of the Council regarding a new parish magazine which several members of Freiston Parish Council were looking at introducing. They were wishing to know if Butterwick Parish Council would be interested in joining in funding the provision of the magazine. The members of the council discussed this and agreed to reserve any decision until further information was forthcoming.

22/108 Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
The next Parish Council Meeting will be held on Monday 16 January 2023 beginning at 7.00pm, at The Church Hall, Main Road A52, Leverton. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
