LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN LEVERTON VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 25 APRIL 2022

Public Forum
There were no members of the public in attendance.
22/31 Apologies
There were no absences.
22/32 To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011
There were no declarations received.
22/33 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 21 March 2022 be approved as a correct record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman.
22/34 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council/Boston Borough Council
Cllr Bedford and Cllr Skinner gave verbal reports to update the council of matters in the borough and the county.
22/35 Issues relating to the Playing Fields, Potholes and the Environment of the Parish
Playing Fields
Mr Horwat stated that 8 square metres of bark chippings would be required for the play area. The clerk confirmed she would approach local businesses to obtain costings. Mr Horwat reported that some minor repairs were needed to the wooden climbing frame which could be addressed in house and that the backpack sprayer was not working as it should. It was arranged for the Chairman and Mr Horwat to look at trying to repair it. Failing that a new one could be purchased with council’s agreement.
The clerk confirmed Caloo only inspected their own play equipment and therefore it was RESOLVED that the clerk contact Wicksteed again to book the annual inspection.
Potholes
The Chairman confirmed that a number of potholes had been repaired including those he had previously reported on Ings Lane although not very satisfactorily as they were already breaking down. Cllr Skinner confirmed he would chase up the Highways department again regarding repairs to Highgate.
Environment
Mr White stated that he was aware of a man tidying the footpath along the side of Main A52 heading out of the village and enquired if this was something arranged by Highways department. Cllr Skinner confirmed he was unaware of this.
Cllr Osborne left the meeting.
22/36 Refurbishment of the Church Hall
The clerk confirmed that the painting was scheduled to be completed by mid-June, weather permitting.
22/37 Provision of village signage and planters
The clerk confirmed that she had sent on the relevant information to Chris Faulkner at Lincolnshire County Council and was awaiting a response.
22/38 Planning
Application B/22/0163 Pilgrimwood, Lacey’s Lane, Leverton, PE22 0BD – the clerk had circulated details of the application prior to the meeting and there were no observations or comments to record.
22/39 Finance

Discussion only
The height of the poplar trees along Lacey’s Drive were discussed and the clerk confirmed she would add to FixMyStreet to see if they could be reduced to a manageable size or removed altogether.
22/41 Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
The Annual Parish Council Meeting will be held on Monday 16 May 2022 beginning at 7.00pm preceded by the Annual Parish meeting at 6.30pm. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed at 8.10 pm.
