LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN LEVERTON VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 17 OCTOBER 2022

Public Forum
One member of the public attended the meeting to ask for permission to install a memorial bench in place of the existing one at the entrance to Laceys Lane to commemorate a former resident of the village. Council confirmed the item regarding adopting a policy in respect of memorial benches and plaques would be discussed in the meeting and the clerk confirmed she would contact the member of the public with a response in due course.

22/72 To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011
There were no declarations received.
22/73 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 18 July 2022 be approved as a correct record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman.
22/74 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council/Boston Borough Council
Cllr Skinner and Cllr Bedford provided verbal reports to Council.
22/75 Issues relating to the Playing Fields, Potholes and the Environment of the Parish
Playing Fields
Cllr Horwat confirmed that the playing field inspection report advised contact details to be added to the signage on the storage container, the ramp on the climbing frame had deteriorated badly, the platforms needed replacing and the zip wire main cable was out of alignment and the ramp poles were deteriorating. Cllr P Skinner advised that with Council’s agreement he could review the zip wire and advise of a remedy due his experience as an engineer. It was RESOLVED to accept the offer.
The clerk confirmed she would obtain quotes for the ramp and platforms on the climbing frame and the pole replacements for the zip wire ramp
Potholes
Council agreed that nothing significant was being done at the present time regarding the poor state of the roads.
Environment
Nothing was reported regarding the environment
22/76 Refurbishment of the Church Hall
The clerk confirmed that she had spoken with Martin Bell from Leverton Fire Service who had confirmed the painting of the Church Hall would now be deferred to the Spring however the paint would be purchased in readiness for this.
22/77 Village Gateway Signs
Members of the council had met during September to review and measure the parish boundary site. It was RESOLVED that a quote for 4 of Glasdon gateway 183/0212 & 183/0249 with 2 face plates showing ‘Welcome to Leverton, Please drive carefully’ and 2 face plates showing ‘Thank you for driving safely’ be obtained.

22/81 Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
The next Parish Council Meeting will be held on Monday 21 November 2022 beginning at 7.00pm, meeting at The Three Horseshoes, Main Road A52. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed at 8.30pm.
