LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN LEVERTON VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 18 JULY 2022

There were no members of the public in attendance.
22/61 Apologies
Cllr Peter Bedford, Boston Borough Council gave his apologies.
22/62 To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011
There were no declarations received.
22/63 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 20 June 2022 be approved as a correct record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman.
22/64 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council/Boston Borough Council
There were no reports provided.
22/65 Issues relating to the Playing Fields, Potholes and the Environment of the Parish
Playing Fields
Cllr Horwat confirmed that the roof of the Wendy House had now been replaced. Cllr Horwat also confirmed that there would be a large crop of fruit from the orchard as there had been minimal loss from the June fruit drop.
Potholes
Council agreed that nothing significant was being done at the present time regarding the poor state of the roads.
Environment
The Chairman confirmed that the large bin at the pumping station had now been reported but had not been removed yet. The clerk confirmed this would be chased up with Cllr P Bedford for feedback.
Cllr White confirmed that the footpaths in the parish had now been cut.
22/66 Refurbishment of the Church Hall
The clerk confirmed that she had spoken with Martin Bell from Leverton Fire Service who had confirmed the painting of the Church Hall was scheduled to be completed by the end of September.
22/67 Village Gateway Signs
The clerk confirmed that Lincolnshire County Council had now given consent for the gateways to be put in place. Members of the council confirmed they would meet at the village boundary adjacent to The Three Horseshoes prior to the next meeting before deciding on a suitable gateway given the limited space available for it to be installed.
22/68 Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 07/2022, details below:

22/69 Matters for discussion only or to be added to the next agenda.
Discussion only
Cllr Osborne reported that the Trustees of the Leverton Poors Land Trust had asked if the Council were willing to provide a donation towards the provision of a sign/gates for the playing fields as part of the renaming of the area to Jane Moor Park. Council discussed which would be most appropriate and suggested gates and a story board detailing why the park was named after Jane Moore. Cllr White suggested obtaining a quotation for gates and suggested a supplier to use if needed.
The council discussed the ongoing planning application B/22/0201 and the reasons for the refusal request from District Council. The clerk confirmed feedback would be provided once the Planning Committee had delivered their recommendation and a decision had been made.
22/70 Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
The next Parish Council Meeting will be held on Monday 19 September 2022 beginning at 7.00pm, meeting at The Three Horseshoes, Main Road A52. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
