LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN LEVERTON VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 16th MAY 2022

Present:

Cllr D Durrant – Chairman

Cllrs: Mr D Horwat, Mr N White, Mrs F Osborne, Mrs J Self-Shutts, Mr N Chandler

Also Present:    Mrs C Anderton – Clerk of the Council

Public Forum

There were no members of the public present.

22/42    To elect a Chairman for the 2022/23 administration period

It was proposed by Cllr D Horwat that Cllr Durrant continue in the Chairman position for the next administration period which was seconded by Cllr N White and carried unanimously.

22/43    To receive the Declaration of Acceptance of Office of Chairman

The Chairman completed the Acceptance of Office form which was also signed by the clerk

22/44    To elect a Vice Chairman for the 2022/23 administration period.

It was Resolved to postpone the election of a vice chairman for the 2022/23 administration period

22/45    Apologies

Apologies had been received from Cllr P Bedford and Cllr P Skinner

22/46    To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011

There were no interests declared.

22/47  To receive and approve the notes of the Council meeting held on Monday 25th April 2022

It was proposed and RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 25th April 2022 be approved as a correct record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman.

b)    It was proposed and RESOLVED to authorise the signing of the AGAR 2021/22 Certificate of Exemption.

c)    It was proposed and RESOLVED to authorise the signing of the AGAR 2021/22 Annual Governance Statement.

d)    It was proposed and RESOLVED to authorise the signing of the AGAR 2021/22 Accounting Statement.

22/49  Clerks report

Playing Fields

The clerk presented the costings for the replacement of the Wendy house roof and it was proposed and RESOLVED that the supply only option be taken.

Environment

The clerk reported that the issue relating to the height of the poplars on Lacey’s Drive had been reported and was currently being investigated by Lincolnshire County Council.

It was also proposed and RESOLVED for Mr Horwat to purchase 8 cubic metres of bark chippings and for the funds to be transferred for this.

22/50  Planning 

County Matter Application Consultation (Parish Council) PL/0035/22

It was proposed and RESOLVED that the council support the objections raised by Boston Borough Council in respect of this application.

22/51    Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting

The next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Monday 20th June 2022 beginning at 7.00pm. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
