To Receive a Presentation of Fire Station statistics from Cllr A Arundell
Cllr Arundell confirmed that he had requested the statistics regarding the fire station but had not received them to date. It was agreed to defer this item until the March meeting.
Cllr White reported that he had looked into the history of the Leverton Fire Station and confirmed that it was built approximately 90 years ago and on an earlier review of Lincolnshire Fire Stations in 2017, it was deemed one of the most dangerous due to the fact that to reverse the engine back into the station it has to be stopped on the main road in order to manoeuvre it back into the parking bay. There is also very limited parking for the volunteer fire fighters and the driveway is not suitable due to ingress of water from the A52 roadway which then runs under the fire station doors along with the station now being unsuitable for training and other issues.

Apologies were received from Cllr P Bedford.

Playing Fields
Cllr Horwat stated that there was nothing to report in respect of the playing field other than due to the current weather it was very waterlogged. Cllr Horwat also confirmed the mower had now been serviced and as it had only completed 333 hours of use, Members RESOLVED to keep the mower and not replace it, proposed by Cllr Self-Shutts, seconded by Cllr White.
Cllr A Arundell left the meeting at 7.20pm
Potholes
The Chairman confirmed that some of the current potholes were being addressed, those being mainly on the route of the Boston Marathon.
Environment
The clerk stated that she had received an email regarding litter blocking the dyke in between the layby road and the field which it was believed to contribute to the excess of water which collects at the junction of the layby and Sheepgate. The clerk was advised to contact the manager at Sheepgate nurseries.
26/16 Provision of additional interactive speed signs
The clerk confirmed that she had spoken at length with Arthur Laughton at Lincolnshire County Council, regarding the planned replacement of interactive speed cameras from Skegness to Boston. She confirmed that it was hoped that there would be 2 phases, the first phase from Skegness to Friskney and the second stage from Friskney to Boston. Within the discussion was the possibility that if Leverton sourced their own additional unit it could be installed in the first phase with the replacement of the existing 30 mph interactive sign which was located on the northbound side of the carriageway. It was agreed to arrange for members to meet with Arthur Laughton to discuss the project.
