MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN LEVERTON VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 15 APRIL 2024

Present:

Cllr D Durrant – Chairman

Public Forum

There were no members of the public in attendance.

24/25  Apologies

Apologies were received from Mrs F Osborne and Cllr D Broughton.

24/26   To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011

There were no declarations of interest given.

24/27  To receive and approve the notes of the Council meeting held on Monday 18 March 2024

It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 18 March 2024 be approved as a record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman.

24/28   Reports from Lincolnshire County Council/Boston Borough Council

Cllr P Skinner gave a verbal report regarding Lincolnshire County Council updates.

Cllr P Bedford gave a verbal report regarding Boston Borough Council updates, he confirmed that the additional building at The Grange had been erected with building regulation approval only and that planning permission was required. Cllr Bedford also confirmed that any application to build a new fire station would be dealt with by Lincolnshire County Council after consultation. 

Cllr D Broughton provided a written report which was read to the members by the Chairman.

24/29   Issues relating to the Playing Fields, Potholes and the Environment of the Parish

Playing Fields

Cllr Horwat stated that there was nothing to report.

Potholes

Cllr Skinner had given a detailed update on various potholes which had been addressed in the parish following on from his ward walk with the Lincolnshire Highways department manager. 

Environment 

Cllr Horwat confirmed that he had spoken with the watch commander at the fire station who confirmed the crew were scheduled to complete the repainting of the Church Hall over the weekend of 11 May 2024. The clerk confirmed she would order the safety equipment and painting materials as soon as possible. Several members of the council offered ladders which could be used to access the gable ends of the building.

24/30  Planning response in respect of VW Breakers visit

Members confirmed that they had received the email from Cllr Skinner regarding the recent visit to site where the enforcement officer stated that there were no untoward works being undertaken.

24/31   Finance 

It was proposed and RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 04/2024 details below:

24/33   Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting

The next meeting will be the Annual Parish Council meeting and will be held on Monday 20 May 2024. This will follow the Annual Parish meeting beginning at 6.30pm. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
