MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LEVERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN LEVERTON VILLAGE HALL ON
                                                             MONDAY 16 SEPTEMBER 2024

Public Forum
There were no members of the public in attendance.

24/63  Apologies
Apologies were received from Cllr P Bedford and Cllr D Broughton.

24/64    To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011
There were no declarations of interest given.

24/65  To receive and approve the notes of the Council meetings held on Monday 15 July 2024 and Wednesday 28th August 2024 
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 15 July and 28 August 2024 be approved as a record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman.

24/66    Reports from Lincolnshire County Council/Boston Borough Council
Cllr P Skinner gave a verbal report regarding Lincolnshire County Council updates.
The Chairman read a report which had been provided by Cllr D Broughton regarding matters at Boston Borough Council.

24/67   Issues relating to the Playing Fields, Potholes and the Environment of the Parish
Playing Fields
Cllr Horwat stated that there had been some damage to the fruit trees caused by forceful snapping of branches. Members agreed that this behaviour should stop as the children were now back in school after the summer holidays and the evenings were drawing in.
The clerk was asked if she could obtain a quote for signage detailing ‘no ball games allowed except football and basketball’.
Cllr Horwat stated that the fire engine in the play park needed new rear seats and asked if the clerk could request a quotation.
Potholes
Cllr Skinner gave a detailed update on the parish potholes and resurfacing and encouraged members of the council to continue using FixMyStreet.
Environment 
Cllr Horwat stated that the grit bin next to the bus shelter was collapsing and needed renewing, the clerk confirmed she would report it.


24/68  Update on Leverton Leisure Centre
The clerk confirmed that after further investigation, Leverton Parish Council were Custodial Trustees of Leverton Leisure Centre and therefore were not liable for any decisions or dealings in the management of the centre. The clerk confirmed that the deeds and legal letters which she had received were now stored away for safe keeping.

24/71    Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Monday 21 October 2024. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
